What is spiritual formation coaching?
Most models of psychotherapy consider and treat the whole person. Clients are seen through the lens of different “domains of health,” such as:
Biological (developmental, physical health, somatic awareness, actions/reactions, etc.)
Behavioral (habits, choices, actions, reactions, etc.)
Psychological (emotional, cognitive, etc.)
Sociological (relational, interactional, attachment, etc.)
Spiritual (often defined as values, purpose, etc., but also includes spiritual beliefs, practices, and resources that contribute to health)
Spiritual formation coaching is designed to be a short-term, affordable way to engage in therapeutic services that target the spiritual domain of health. While there may often be a consideration of how other domains of health interact to shape the whole person, standard counseling and therapy methods are not used to help clients work through mental health disorders. Instead, spiritual resources are applied to help the client strengthen this domain with intention, in the expectation that it will lead to a more flourishing life. Examples of spiritual methods that may be used include:
Spiritual formation coaching is not:
Intended to treat or diagnose mental health disorders
A substitute for quality, holistic mental or relational health counseling
A long-term psychodynamic or depth psychology approach that uses traditional counseling methods for growth and healing
Spiritual formation coaching is:
Focused talk- and/or nature-based support to grow in the spiritual domain of health
Ideal for church leaders to equip them to turn to Jesus for healing and sustenance
A short-term approach (4-12 sessions)
To qualify for spiritual formation coaching, you must:

Vine and Branches offers private-pay therapy services. We do not accept insurance at this time, due to the limitations and restrictions of the managed care system. As such, we strive to make our prices clear, fair, and consistent with comparable services in our area.
We offer reduced pricing for individuals and families who qualify (based on household income), for up to 10% of our caseload. In addition, we continually look to partner with churches and community organizations that provide scholarships for clients to receive financial support.
